I just re-read "It" by Stephen King; one of my all-time favorite books. 1,090 pages of nightmares as a kid. It used to scare me so much, I kept it in the freezer at night. I was totally convinced that if I kept it just floating around the house, the pages would open in the night and something would slither out. But the freezer.. the freezer was safe. No matter how old I get, reading that book always makes me feel like an irrational little kid with very random beliefs about what keeps us safe in the darkness.
